Holding Hands for Haiti

Be part of the Holding Hands for Haiti video shoot. Please join in to create a powerful video that will be pivotal to a new fundraising campaign for Mercy Corps’ efforts in Haiti. 

A diverse mix of Portlanders, including actor Daniel Baldwin, plan to join hands to convey concern, caring and connection for Haiti. Holding Hands for Haiti will be produced by Indent Studios.

WHY:  The Holding Hands for Haiti video will be used to convey a virtual human chain that begins in Portland, Oregon with the intent to stretch across the world. It will promote the website holdinghandsforhaiti.com  (going live on Thursday) where people can make donations to Mercy Corps. Donations will appear as lights on a map of the world. The glow begins in Portland and you can play a vital part of promoting the effort.

9:00 AM celebrity kick-off

9:45 AM Human chain begins to form

WHERE:  Waterfront Park along the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon. Meet at the seawall near the West end of the Burnside Bridge.  As a special request, please stay on the sidewalk and to protect the turf for summer events.
